Mobile Responsive Experience and Interface for Exotic and Luxurious Cruise Line

Regent Seven Seas Cruises prides themselves in allowing their guests to “live life luxuriously” by offering them all-inclusive cruise vacations that take them to the world’s most beautiful places and allow them to enjoy every day exactly as they wish. Their vacations include everything from flights to excursions and premium spirits to gourmet restaurants. They contacted us towards the end of a large new desktop site redesign, asking us to evaluate the desktop templates created, create a responsive mobile version, and help rework any desktop solutions that wouldn’t work responsively.
THE FINAL SOLUTION
We successfully created a fully responsive mobile version of their new site, using best practice functionality and intuitive mobile solutions for more complicated desktop layouts. The amount of desktop rework needed was extremely minimal and we worked closely with their internal e-Commerce team to communicate and recommend the proper revisions.

After stakeholder interviews, meetings with the internal design team, and a detailed evaluation of which desktop designs they had already completed, we were able to understand the scope of the project and how many mobile screens would need to be created. We divided the entire project into smaller deliverables and created the overall project plan based on their desired end goal delivery date. Each deliverable included rounds of stakeholder reviews and time for feedback integration.
Our goal was to make the mobile experience feel even more premium and easy-to-use than the desktop version it was based upon.
The desktop site contained large amounts of copy and it was important to the client that all the content was also available to their mobile guests. We designed everything with this in mind, creating smart solutions for complex and/or copy-heavy layouts.
We were able to create mobile modules for all of the desktop content and allow it to stack responsively while having structure and hierarchy. There were close to 100 pixel-perfect mobile comps delivered by the end.
